We hope to see as many people as possible during our soon to be excursion into the pacific northwest. You can find the dates for the shows on our site. We also hope that everyone who has had a chance to listen to it, has enjoyed our EP that was recently released digitally. (We will be getting physical cd's within the next few days)
With that said, here is the new music video for Bon Iver's single Calgary. The band, the album, the song, the video are all, just, done right. It's that simple.

Who Are The Alternates Listening To? - J. Mascis' Recent Daytrotter Session
And Now For Something Completely Different
Over the past month we have gone on and on about our EP the “Spiders And Webs EP”. We can honestly say that we are a little burnt on pushing our music. So, to keep things interesting on our website we have decided that this is a good time for another installment of “Who Are The Alternates Listening To?”
As we have made clear, we are heading out on our first tour extremely soon. We will be posting regular updates on the trials and tribulations that we come across during the next month. This way all of our fans that have come out to our shows over the past several years, don’t feel left out when we leave town.
This installment of “Who Are The Alternates Listening To” is a great example of what we will be listening to on the long road ahead.
We direct you to the daytrotter session J. Mascis recorded on June 6th 2011.
All of us Alternates are long time fans of Dinosaur Jr. and are well versed in the brilliance that is J. Mascis. This daytrotter session is J. Mascis all to himself. The tracks he recorded are haunting and beautiful. They all manage to shine an ever-flattering blacklight on Mascis’ unique musical style and voice. I can already see us blaring the track “Circle” (my favorite track off of this session) with the windows down as we drive through the night to get from Portland to Santa Cruz.
Go check out this session.
